What you see above will give you a pretty good overview of how we work: an initial conversation, followed by a face-to-face meeting, if appropriate... agreeing a brief which details your goals and objectives, and a timeframe and budget you are happy with... then commencing the actual writing and delivering your project. And, of course, we can flex our working style to suit each individual client.
You'll find the answers to our most frequently-asked questions about the way we work below - but if you have a question that is not covered, just get in touch.
HOW WE WORK: FREQUENTLY-ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Do you work in a set way?
We flex our working style to suit each client. For this reason, we are happy to work from your premises or from our own – whichever will suit you and your business the best.
2. How long does it take to get enough insight into our business to start writing?
Not long. Remember, most of the time we are communicating the key features and benefits of your business – either to your clients or your customers. This doesn’t usually need in-depth knowledge: generally, a good conversation with you and your colleagues and a bit of background reading is perfectly sufficient.
3. How long does it take to write a website?
Naturally, that will depend on how many pages are required. As a guide, however, a six-page website can be written in 1-2 days, and a 30-page website can be written in 5-10 days.
4. Do you provide other services - such as design or PR?
We don't provide these services directly, but we work with a number of
associates who are experts in these field, such as Avid Creative (www.avidcreative.co.uk) and KIS Marketing (www.kismarketing.co.uk). Often, we will work directly alongside these businesses to provide a seamless service. Alternatively, we are happy to put you straight in touch with them - and conduct your business right from there.
5. How do you bill?
Again, we pride ourselves on our flexibility. This means that when we meet to discuss a project, we will agree the most efficient and cost-effective billing method for you. For some companies and projects, it may be most efficient to agree an hourly rate. Alternatively, it could work out more cost-effective to book us for a whole day – that way you get our dedicated time for a solid 8 hours. Then again, you may wish to book us for a full week... it’s really up to you.
One thing – we almost never bill by the word. We leave that to the celebrity novelists!
6. What happens after you’ve delivered a project?
We are extremely happy to provide further help or support after the initial project if you need this. The best business relationships are based on trust and reputation – both of which we hope you will gain from our time together
7. What sectors do you work in?
We provide writing and communications support for businesses in every sector. Recent projects have included writing for healthcare and medical companies, the travel and tourism industry, health & safety consultancies and public sector – as well as for arts & entertainment organisations, retailers, fashion, leisure, the IT industry, business consultancies, training companies, automotive and manufacturing organisations, engineering, shipping, aerospace, and not-for-profit.
8. We’re interested in social media – blogging, twittering, etc. Can you help?
You bet. We provide a ghost-blogging and ghost-twittering service that is growing in popularity. Drop us a line or call us to talk more about this service, as we are currently offering extremely preferential rates.
